Most recently, our hotel, AMAKS Zolotoe Koltso, had a birthday party. It would seem that the standard scenario has been prescribed for a long time: cake, candles, toasts, congratulations from guests and partners. But we decided: since our house is located in the very heart of Vladimir and loves water so much, then we will celebrate in a special way - on a grand scale and for those who make this hotel alive, that is, for our colleagues.
After all, a hotel's birthday is not just a number on the calendar. This is an occasion to thank every employee: the maid who creates comfort, the receptionist who greets guests with a smile, the cook who feeds breakfast, and everyone who puts their soul into our common cause every day. And the best way to thank the team is to give them emotions, movement, and real outdoor recreation.
That's how the idea was born.: organize a rafting trip for colleagues. We left the hustle and bustle of the city behind us, went out into nature and immersed ourselves in the world of water, sun and good mood. No deadlines, no walkie—talkies - just paddles, water and wind in the face.
How it was: laughter, splashes and team spirit.
In the morning, we gathered on the picturesque shore, where the sapboards and the instructor were already waiting for us. Someone admitted that he would stand on the board for the first time, someone confidently stated: "I'm a born minesweeper... that is, a sap surfer!" - and, it seems, they even believed it.
The first surprise was the start: it turns out that keeping your balance on the water is much more difficult than keeping the perfect number in the water. The first falls were epic, but the colleagues supported each other with loud laughter and shouts: "Hold on, I'm going to get there!". And that was the very team spirit for which we value our work so much.
In the middle of the route, we staged an impromptu race to a picturesque cape. No referees, no penalties — just to feel the speed and excitement. Of course, everyone got the main prize — a shared photo with paddles.
The finale happened on a small sandy beach, where we pulled out the glanders, took a deep breath and had a picnic. And there, with the lapping of the waves, we raised a final toast — to our AMAKS Zolotoe Koltso hotel, to its team and for us to have as many such weekends as possible.
