Chowpatty Beach (India)
The Arabian Sea, which washes this coast, does not hide sharks or rays in its waters. Everything is much more prosaic. Chowpatty Beach is considered the dirtiest in the world. The disaster that happened near these places in 2011, when a ship loaded with 60 thousand tons of coal went down, did not improve the situation. There is so much mud here that the sand is no longer visible under it.
During the day, Indians walk along Chowpatty, in the evening there is an energetic trade, but at night it is better for impressionable people not to appear here at all. Tourists are advised not only not to swim in these garbage-dark waters, but also not to sunbathe on the dirty sand. Especially for women in an open bathing suit.
Amazon Beaches
This river, as it is known, flows through the territory of South America. Surrounded by jungle, the waters of the Amazon are famous for their huge variety of fish. Experts have counted 2.5 thousand different individuals, and this is far from the limit.
However, along with harmless freshwater, there are also hostile specimens. For example, if you go into the water, you risk running into a flock of piranhas or getting a discharge of 1,300 thousand volts from an electric eel. And it's not easier on the beach itself – there, in the coastal thickets, a hungry anaconda may be waiting for you.
Beaches of Fraser Island and Cape Tribulation (Australia)
If you decide to die in an exotic way, then you are here. Both beaches offer tourists a wide range of deaths, from the fangs of dingoes prowling the coast to the teeth of sharks hiding beneath the deceptively calm ocean. Moreover, there are several species of the latter here at once – there are low-risk ones like zebra or nurse sharks, and there are natural killers such as white, sand or tiger sharks.
However, according to statistics, the main danger is not dingoes, crocodiles or poisonous spiders, but box jellyfish. They are almost invisible in the water and possess a powerful poison capable of incapacitating an adult and easily killing a child. Every year in October and April, hundreds of beaches in Australia are closed due to the invasion of cubomedusa.
California Beaches
Crowded beaches that are literally teeming with vacationers. Not only ordinary bathers like to gather here, but also divers and surfers.
Sometimes they are accompanied by aggressive sharks. According to statistics, over the past hundred years, almost 150 cases of attacks by these predators on humans have been recorded on California beaches. This is explained by the fact that there are extensive elephant seal rookeries in this area, and they are known to serve as permanent food for sharks. Sometimes, toothy creatures confuse elephants with humans, and irreparable things happen.
Beaches of Primorye
There have been sharks in the waters of the Khasansky district before. They sailed here at the end of summer, when the water warms up to 20 degrees, which coincided with the peak of the bathing season. However, all this time they behaved quietly and ate mostly squid and fish, in rare cases attacking seals. However, in 2011, something unexpected happened – in a short time, a shark attacked three bathers.
The first incident, the most tragic, was when a predator bit off both of a young man's arms at the elbow. The second and third weren't so bad, as the teenager and the man escaped with lacerations to their thighs and forearms. It is worth noting that there was no particular panic on the beaches, however, by the next season, the local authorities had the foresight to tighten the protective nets. It is noteworthy that, despite an active search, the attacking shark could not be found. Experts suggest that it was a white shark.
