Are ghosts in hotels a myth or reality? Someone will twist at his temple, thinking that adults cannot believe in such a thing, and someone at the word "ghost" will involuntarily get nervous, remembering one of the stories that happened to him a couple of years ago on vacation. Of course, many hotels deliberately create myths about ghosts in order to make their services popular and in demand. But who knows, maybe the old hotels actually keep something mysterious and unexplored behind their walls?
1) The Roman hotel "Castello Della Castelluccia"
This building was built back in the XI century and is famous not only for its antiquity, but also for its ghosts, quite possibly the same old ones. Guests, who often call themselves eyewitnesses, claim that four ghosts "live" within the walls of the hotel. Most of all, the emperor Nero is attractive, scaring guests and employees every night in the garden.
Historians say that by decision of the Senate, Nero was to lose his life by the death penalty. The emperor could not allow such a disgrace for himself and ordered his entourage to kill themselves. As a result, he was stabbed with a dagger by the hand of his own slave. Since then, his soul has not found peace.
Contemporaries claim that Emperor Nero strolled on the territory of the hotel more than once during his lifetime. What he is looking for now remains a mystery.
2) English "Talbot"
The castle in England, which is called Oundle, has been preserved since the end of the 12th century. It was here, according to historians, that the baby who later became King Richard III was born. In addition, Mary Stuart was tried and then executed in the castle.
A few centuries later, the castle has already become completely dilapidated, becoming a huge ruin. Only one part has been preserved, which is still in effect. A hotel has been built here. It is attractive that even the large staircase has been preserved. According to legend, it was up these steps that Mary Stuart went to be executed. There is a legend that the queen left a mark on the railing – a crown scratched with a ring. To this day, the queen does not find peace, rocking her portrait at night, walking up the stairs. The guests claim that they even hear the creaking of furniture from time to time.
3) USA, Stanley Hotel
If we recall Stephen King's novel "The Shining", which, by the way, served as the script for more than one film play, then the author wrote about the Stanley Hotel. It was a prototype. And employees never tire of telling "horror stories" about ghosts that frighten guests when they hear sounds from empty rooms, such as playing the piano. And some claim that ghosts appeared right in front of them.
4) The Canadian Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
This hotel has been in existence since 1888. It looks very similar to an ancient castle built in the Middle Ages in Scotland. About 50 years later, in 1926, the hotel burned down. After extinguishing the fire, a room was discovered, which, as it turned out, had no door or windows. Subsequently, a standard hotel room was set up in this place. And the staff say that it was here that those who built the hotel died, and their spirits still live there.
A family was murdered in the room. The girl's finger marks were visible on the mirror, imprinted with blood. No matter how hard they tried to erase them, they still showed up. Those who stayed in the room were often awakened at night by a terrible scream. It was decided to lay this room down again.
Another ghost here is called Sam McCauley. He was once a hotel bellhop, born in Scotland. After his retirement, the old man died. In a modern hotel, Sam often suggests that guests bring their luggage.
A bride with a disfigured face appears on the stairs of the hotel once a year. The wedding did not take place due to the death of the bride, who touched the candle train, her outfit ignited. The girl fell down the stairs and crashed.
In the elevator, the guests meet with the lady in red. They say that this is a girl who died in a car accident, back in 1944. It happened near the hotel. And in the bar, a long-dead bartender treats visitors with cocktails.
5) The Romanian hotel "Desebal"
Locals claim that the hotel is located in a very old building that is at least 150 years old. There is a legend that treasures are hidden in the dungeon, guarded by a ghost. One might consider such stories to be tall tales, but the guests see a woman in a white robe. Victoria Jovan, who lives in this area, discovered the same woman in her friend's photo.
6) Taiwan. The Grand Hyatt Hotel
The hotel was built in a tragic place. There was once a prison camp here. And now the walls of the hotel are shaking from the moans of those who were subjected to terrible torture.
Confirmation of these stories can be heard in the story of the famous actor Jackie Chan, who also stayed at the hotel and heard the screams.
